Spicy Salad Dressing

Prep: 5 minutes

Serves:Makes 1 1/2 cups

  • 3/4 cup rice or wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1-2 tsp crushed red pepper


Combine all the ingredients in a jar and shake to mix.

This dressing is excellent over grain, bean, or vegetable salads.

Hint: To thicken this dressing add 3/4 teaspoon guar gum to the mixture before shaking. Guar gum is a thickening agent that does not require cooking. Shake well and refrigerate for 1 hour.
