My journey isn’t over, and I still have weight to lose, but today, I want to celebrate how far I’ve come. As the year comes to an end, I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has changed my life—especially Stacy, who has supported me every week through both setbacks and victories.
When I started the 12-Day McDougall Program in July, I took a picture of myself, and this morning, I took another (see attached). The difference is incredible. Though I still have weight to lose, I’m thrilled with where I am right now. Even if I didn’t lose another pound, I’d be satisfied because this program has transformed my life. I have a new body, a different internal dialogue, and a renewed sense of confidence. This year, I can’t imagine anything to be more grateful for. For the first time in years, I feel like myself again, and I’m so excited for what lies ahead on this journey.
In March 2024, I weighed 278 pounds after breaking my humerus in February—a fall I’m sure was indirectly caused by my obesity. Eight months later, I weigh 224.6 pounds. My ultimate goal is 160, and it’s because of this program that I’ve lost so much and regained my life! After years of being vegetarian and vegan yet struggling with obesity, I’ve finally found the key to unlock the door I thought would remain closed forever. This program really works if you follow it—I am not the exception.
I’m eager to share my story and help others. If anyone is unsure whether this program is worth it, I’m here to say it’s a bargain for the benefits it provides. My life has changed in ways I never thought possible, and I’m motivated to pay it forward. To the entire McDougall team, thank you for making dreams like mine a reality. I am endlessly grateful.
