Hi, Kirk--
So glad to see you again and hear that you are continuing steadily on your McDougall journey. Congratulations on all your efforts and on keeping things in perspective. I think of you from time to time and wonder how you're doing, so was very pleased to hear your report. It takes a lot of stamina to do what you're doing and to keep your eye on the prize, but you are not going to give up and will succeed.

Meanwhile, the average American puts on weight every year. In a few years at this rate, nearly everybody will be overweight. The only thing we can do is show them counter-examples.

Wishing you all the best for continued improvements and enjoyment of life,
Anna

Hi, good to see you are doing well. I like your goal of helping others avoid surgery and do it the healthy way.

Kirk...just went thru that with my son with the exception of the adoption issue. The last ones I did are his third attempt and I have both of them now so he doesn't lose them. His was thru the state of NY and mothers can order them. He couldn't cause he didn't have any ID. It was a vicious circle, can't get a ID card without a birth certificate and can't get a birth certificate without an ID. What a hassle! :(

when I went to Florida I had no problems scanning my stuff,
but coming home they put me on the side and I knew right away what the problem was. Someone made me a linotype slug of my name back 35 years ago when I worked for a newspaper and I decided to bring it home with me.
When they scanned the bag, they put it thru 3 times and then had me go to the check bag booth! I told the lady where to look and she didn't want me to touch the suitcase so I just pointed to where it was in a manilla envelope of photos and she took it out and laughed, saying that with my citizens for solar tshirt and the way I was dressed with my tevas, i certainly didn't look like a terrorist but she took it over to show to another baggage person since she said it looked like the barrel of a 9mm gun! Then they let me thru the line! :D

Kirk, I just wanted to let you know you are an inspiration to me, and I'm glad to hear that you are still McDougalling steadily and losing weight! I think of the time I nearly begged my doctor for surgery to lose weight, and as much as she annoyed me with her suggestions to exercise at lunchtime, I'm so glad she didn't hear my strong hints. I really didn't believe in surgery and medication to solve the weight problem, but I'll tell you, nothing else had much effect until I found McDougall. Glad you're here!
