I have a toothache, so I ate some unfried rice for breakfast, but then stayed with softer stuff the rest of the day. Went off MWL by having a smoothie and some canned fruit, but I'm doing the best I can within my limitations today. Dentist appointment on Monday, but I'm going to call in the morning and see if they can see me sooner.

 B: unfried rice (brown rice, scallions, water chestnuts, bean sprouts, peas, soy chili paste, soy sauce, cilantro)
L: smoothie and canned pears with chia
 D: boiled potato with ketchup
 S: fresh cherries with a drizzle of balsamic reduction

1) B: just a bite of boiled potato. I had a 10am dentist appointment and they pulled my molar. Ouch!
2) smoothie and a bunch of ibuprofen :( I'm on liquids until dinner, and then soft foods for 2 days. Hooray for potatoes!
3) split pea soup
4) hummus (storebought)
5) boiled potatoes with ketchup and hot sauce

Feeling lots better today. Still have to eat soft foods for another day or so, but that's fine, especially since the antibiotics are making me feel full/bloated and not much like eating.

1: Lentil soup (Progresso, my fave brand, has a little oil in it; I will buy lower-fat brands in the future, or make it myself, because I actually like mine better)
2: Bottled iced tea and a tiny taste of partner's non-veg cooking project (delicious, but no desire for more than a tiny taste)
3: Campbell's vegetarian vegetable soup (a little egg white in the pasta)
 4: Fresh cherries (used my handy-dandy pitter to make sure I didnt hurt my mouth)
 5: Took a bite of MWL-compliant soup and then realized I wasn't actually hungry, so I put it away for later.
 6: Grain/lentil blend, zucchini/carrots/onions, blueberries
 7: The rest of the soup from before
8: a few more blueberries (have to have something with carbs and fiber before bed)

 1: 2nd half of last night's dinner (rice, lentils, veggies, blueberries)
2: Ate out for mom's birthday. Made the best choices possible on the menu, except I could have had water instead of the sweetened drink: tofu fresh spring roll, side of rice, jasmine tea with boba.
3: Lunch was a little more chewing than my mouth liked, so I made a smoothie of frozen bananas and blueberries (and water).
 4: Flavored sparkling water (no sweetener)
5: cherries, soy yogurt, and these things -- pickled lupini beans, which are... interesting? but I want to try them again when my mouth is all better. they're kind of hard, and I'm not chewing that well yet.

 1. Black bean soup https://www.drmcdougall.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=58361&p=586641#p586941 I took a picture, but this stuff is not pretty. Tasty, though.
 2. Can of cream-style corn (no cream or fat added); unfried brown rice
 3. grapes and cherries
 4. cherry tomatoes
 5. restaurant dinner after helping the kid move: veggie sushi and vegan udon soup, the only two things on the menu I could order and stay on-plan. SO proud of myself for not sharing my kid's tempura and off-plan sushis. Also, we ordered iced tea, but it came with milk in it and we sent it back and got milk-free drinks (we both love milk tea, but we both get sick when we drink milk). Mine was a diet coke.
6. A taste of my kid's sweetened rice snack roll, and a few sheets of nori while shopping with the kid, and I had a glass of lightly sweetened iced jasmine tea, as well. I'm now a little over-caffeinated, but it's worth not having a stomach ache or drinking something I didn't want.
 7. more nori

Food today:

 1. kimchi slaw (wasn't very hungry)
 2. brown rice, cherry tomatoes, kimchi slaw
 3. canned whole beets
4. Vietnamese garlic eggplant, lettuce, vermicelli (ordered off the vegetarian menu, but the sauce was pretty creamy, so I'm sure it wasn't McD compliant)

Mark, this is the recipe partner uses, but you can ignore the sesame oil:

Not very hungry today. Ate only half my lunch, and didn't feel like eating at dinnertime. I'm nearing the end of the antibiotics, so I imagine the bloating and loss of appetite will go away soon.

1. pretzel thins and hummus
 2. brown rice with mushrooms and asparagus, cherry tomatoes
 3. cherries (unsweetened, frozen/thawed)
 4. raw ear of corn plus a bowl of kimchi slaw

Still struggling with bloating and lack of appetite since the antibiotics. Packed myself a healthy brunch (I'm calling it that because I skipped breakfast, and that sounds fancier) and I'm off to have the stitches taken out of my mouth. Will pick up some probiotics at the store tonight; partner offered to buy me yogurt, but it's not worth the dairy, so I will find some plant-based probiotics instead.
