Good weekend so far. Was eating a lot of mashed taters with veggies but started rereading Maximum Weight Loss and saw it mentioned eat things as whole form as possible so I ate them baked tonight. Microwave baked so I don't add to the crazy heat we are having. I so need AC in my house. My body hurts below 70's and above 70's and we pretty much skipped over the 70's this year.

Hopefully I didn't just wreck my losing streak. We went out to eat and I definitely had oil even if it was plant based.

It's all about making better choices most of the time, Rosey. Good job not ordering what my best friend calls "a big pile of lard with sugar on top." :-)

you sure I didn't? laugh. I had a bean burger with vegan white bread and carmelized onion on it. I told them to leave the veganese off it. worst of order was the tater tots and the tot nacho that him and I split as an appetizer. I told the server they need to do tots not dipped in oil. He actually said they are pondering getting an air fryer for people like me that don't want the oil.

Wow, see? Because you said something, you're in their minds as a reason to do things differently. Woot woot!

I love that you asked them not to coat your tots with oil! and looky there...they are thinking about including air fried things, not all just deep fat fried. I've never gotten up the courage to do that. I just choose the least-likely-to-be-smothered-in-oil option and hope for the best. If more people spoke up, we might see a change overall, of restaurants offering fat free options.

My hubby says it's easy for me to speak up but I don't feel like it is. I feel like a pain when I do.

Kinda figured I'd be up a little this week up 2.6 lbs from 276 lbs to 278.6 lbs On to next week and losing it again.

Tomorrow we are going to a family potluck I'll be the only one that eats this way. Hubby eats the stuff they bring when we go. I'm making a potato salad for them and a separate one for me. Theirs will have Guacamole in place of the mayo and I'm putting black salt in place of eggs. Black salt gives it the taste of the egg without being egg. Mine will be same without the guacamole.

Lost a good friend(brother who wasn't a brother) that was there for me through the worst of my life and saved my life a few times yesterday. He found out recently he had a valve issue probably from birth. He knew it was getting worse and refused surgery. He and his family were headed back here to Oregon he wanted to die here but he died well on the way back. They are having a Military Funeral for him soon. They broke down in Wyoming and were at mechanics when he passed. I can't imagine being in his wife's place. Her brother will be to her tomorrow and he's renting a truck to help pull her RV back to Oregon. My brain can't stop thinking about him being gone and worrying about her and her boys since the boys have autism. I caught myself eating things not on MWL at husbands family reunion today but mainly on McDougall thank goodness. Picking myself up and making myself do better. Life has so many surprises and twists and turns.
