Hi Happy Losers:
I am not weighing in these last two weeks for kind of a weird reason - the intensely wet weather here in Northern California!
We have not broken the drought of the last three years, but still my area has not seen this much rain since 1955! From December 1 my town has had more than a foot of water dropped on it and 5 inches of that occurred on December 11th alone!!!
I know weather has a really bad effect on my fibromyalgia and I have long suspected my weight as well. My theory has been when the barometer goes down ahead of big storms - the fibro pain goes way up and so does water retention. Well this has been the perfect chance to test the theory and boy is it ever true. Before the biggest series of storms I gained about 6 pounds in water weight and as the storms have been one after the other I haven't really lost that - though my eating has been pretty much right on target.
Between today and yesterday I gained another two pounds (while the menu was perfect -- oatmeal and kale/ big veggies salad with quinoa/potato and kale soup) and another medium storm will hit today. Next week however is reported to be all clear - so I hope I will be able to report again next Friday and with a huge negative number. It will be water weight for the most part but it will be my real weight compared to this roller coaster of gains and losses due to pressure changes - water retention.
Looks like everyone else is doing great and I'll be back next week along with the return of the sun here in California
