Hello, I am new to this discussion board and Forks Over Knives and am hoping to find some nutritional advice.
I am an ovarian cancer survivor. I had endometriosis and a hysterectomy. My doctors have advised me not to have HRT and I am very confused as to weather or not I should avoid estrogen rich foods. Your advice would be greatly appreciated

I'm also an ovarian cancer survivor. I was diagnosed and treated in 2006, and have been cancer free since then.
I was never given any instruction regarding diet, and I eat a whole-food plant based diet. My diet probably includes a lot of phytoestrogen-rich foods. So for me, being cancer-free for 17 years is proof enough that the phytoestrogens in my diet aren't an issue. But I am not aware of any studies or professional opinion on this question.
Good luck with your journey.
