Hello,
I've been living now for 2 years as an oil free vegan acc to Dr. McDougall and my arthritis in fingers and feet has practically come to a stop. I substitute Vit B 12 and D.
For the first time as a vegan I had a blood test done and the results were not optimum.
As I am from Germany I try to translate the blood test data that might be worrying.
Leucocytes 4.40 / nl (Norm 4.00 to 11.00)
Erythrocytes 3.95 Tpt/l (Norm 4.10 to 5.10)
Hemoglobin 12.4 g/dl (Norm 12.3 to 15.3)
Neurotroph. Gran 49.0 % (Norm 50.0 to 70.0)
Lymphocytes 38.9 % (Norm 25.0 to 40)
Monocytes 10.5 (Norm 2.0 to 10.0)
Iron 92 µ/dl (Norm 39 to 149)
Immunoglobulin IgG 779 mg/dl (Norm 700 to 1600)
All results are still in the norm though in the outer ranges. Uric acid is perfect.
My doctor said that these results are typical for someone who eats this way. Anther reason she gave me for the blood cells not being optimum is my Covid vaccination, has anyone ever heard of that?
In order to improve my blood results I implemented for 2 weeks milk products in my diet - with my arthritis coming back full force with buringing pain in fingers and joints... No way I can keep up eating cheese etc again.
Just wondering if anyone with a medical background/knowledge has any comments.
Thanks you for your help, would appreciate it
Inez
