Q on plant-based reversing Osteopenia

Postby Raquel1002 » Thu Dec 13, 2018 12:01 pm

Hi all,

When I had my first Bone Scan performed 11/2016, it showed I have osteopenia. After reading an article on the McDougall site on how one woman's osteoporosis completely reversed on a PB diet, I began to take steps in the direction of PB. I had my every-two year bone scan sched'd for last Monday but resched'd it for February given I've only been like 80% PB and 20% non-plant based including periodic cream in coffee (only when out; don't keep it at home), ice cream, milk and cookies, etc (not good I know!)

I'm doing an experiment to see if the results change with 100% PB diet. Do you think if I were to stick 100% from today till mid February when the test is sched'd, that this would be enough time to tell if the PB has had a positive impact on my osteopenia? Or should I perhaps schedule it out for at least 6 months from now?
