Ok, luvin' Mary's Mini right now! Its so stinkin' easy!! I'm down 6 pounds in 5 days! Whoa! My clothes are feeling better and I'm feeling more confident about my body too, I love that! I think DH would go crazy on potatoes all the time but its working great for me right now. I didn't realize how many potatoes I actually went through. I have to make an emergency run after work tonight because I MUST have a sweet potato for dinner!

I'm still having headaches for some reason. It could be lack of sleep from my 8-month old at home but am missing coffee right now. I almost gave in yesterday.

I'm trying to plan ahead for our camping trip next week. Anyone have vegan receipes for a dutch oven?

Last night we attended a bbq with some friends that was BYOM. DH had brats and I brought corn on the cob and some veggie cabobs. EVERYONE stared at my veggies and thought they looked SO GOOD! Ha! I also brought a cucumber and tomato salad (chopped both, added italian seasoning) to share which went over quite well too. I'm on Mary's mini right but chose not to have a potato and indulged in some baked beans which had no clue if they were McD approved or not. I haven't lost any weight the last few days which is fine. I feel better already and my clothes are fitting better too which I love!

I have to admit, I'm looking forward to eating more than just potatoes. I do love them but want a little more variety. I'm sure when life gets busier potatoes will be the easiest thing to grab but I want to cook!

Planning to make some McD approved pizza to take with us camping next week. Going to make everything ahead of time so we just have to heat and eat next week.

Wow, you sound like youare doing really well, Husker. I usually lose inches before I lose pounds, so it's good to hear that your clothes are fitting better.

I love your journal!

I survived the State Fair!!!

First, I made some approved foods to take. Pizza (no cheese), had hummus. tomato, and cucumber sandwiches, fruit, coleslaw, and oatmeal for breakfasts. I did pretty good the first 2-3 days. I always get sweet potato fries, and was able to get baked potatoes at the fair without any toppings.

Toward the end of the week I caved when my food starting running out and I didn't want to spend any more money and ate some hot dogs and a taco. I definitely had McDougall's revenge the next day, yuck!

After we got home I've been back to eating potatoes. Its so simple and easy. I need to find things DH will enjoy as well. We are going to have stir fry tonight I believe and need to pick up some corn on the cob.

My life is about to get SUPER busy with school and work. I work full-time, have a side business sewing, and will be taking 3 classes as well. I'm hoping to stay the course and am thinking potatoes and hummus are my best bets. Need to scour some recipes for DH too so we can have good food available in the house.

Although I feel terrible for eating SAD last week I just remind myself that htis is a lifestyle change and I can ALWAYS make a good choice in the future. One step forward, one step back.

BONUS!!! I didn't gain any weight at the fair. I walked my hiney off everyday so actually lost a few pounds, how about that! I was so excited. Since Ig ot back I've lost another few pounds as well which keeps me motivated. I want to be preggo in the next few months so want to keep eating well so all my stuff keeps working properly.

that's all for now, will try to journal as much as I can. I'm wanting to make the lentil "meatballs" that are on the recipe board soon. Check back to see how I did!

The incredible shrinking woman

This week has been great for weight loss! I've lost inches as well as pounds. I took out all my skinny clothes last night and I could actually get into them! WHAT?! I didn't think I had lost THAT much. They are still a little snug in the waist due to having a baby but I can't believe they fit!

I haven't been eating that great this week. We NEED to go grocery shopping desperately so there isn't as much McDougall food in the house as I would like.
