my computer is burping today and I lost a comment i was posting on your blog! Fettuccine is just a bit wider than linguine but I consider them interchangeable.

Those all look amazing. You are more inspired than I am today although I went thru the entire day and haven't smoked anything! Proud of myself! I want to try that chard recipe next! And the tomato soup looks great!

I have to hand it to you....1000 recipes and I don't know what to cook, but then my taste buds are weird right now with the smoking meds.

Good for you on not smoking today! It's worth it having your taste buds be off for a while - hopefully they will return to normal soon!

Very slow connection where we are now. After four tries, I finally got the pictures to load. I want this book! I was thinking about recipes for the spaghetti squashes that I have, that one looks interesting. The fettuccini with chard and red lentil tomato sauce looks like it might also do well with a chunky pasta like penne or rotini. My husband keeps asking for whole wheat pastas and I swear I've seen whole wheat penne.

Except there's whole wheat and then there's WHOLE WHEAT. I just was at Walmart and looked at their whole wheat pasta but in the ingredients it said Whole Wheat and Semolina mix. And last week I'd started to buy a cheaper brand of whole wheat pasta at Frys and it said, indeed trumpeted on the package 51% whole wheat!!. OTOH another, more expensive, brand said 100% whole wheat.
I'm just here for the food.

I'm glad you finally got the picture to load! I have a lot per page, that's probably part of the problem. I should cut it back to about 10 per page to make it easier for those slower connections.

I wish my husband could enjoy the whole grain pastas. Everytime I use them, he grumbles a little. But, just a little, and maybe over time he'll finally come to prefer them. I'm hoping... :crybaby:

I made the Corn and Potato Chowder. It was delicious and easy, and even my husband who had a cold loved it.
