High glycemic index of potatoes

Postby trexmdr » Tue Mar 07, 2017 1:15 am

Dear Mr. Novick,
I very much enjoy your lectures on nutrition. I was wondering if you could help me with a question.
How can I explain to my doubting friends about the high glycemic index numbers that potatoes have and the fact that you won't feel hungry soon after eating them and that they will not make you gain weight.
Even though I have lost 23 pounds in three months it is still something that they cannot wrap their heads around and accept.
Thank you
