Hi Jeff,
Though admittedly not a ‘nutrition’ related query, as there is no ‘Ask Dr. McDougall’ forum category, I wonder if you just might be most likely a well informed person to ask (?):
As 14 years have passed since the newsletter article re: minimum daily aspirin dosage for those with CVD incident history, it occurred that ongoing research results may have altered the basis of his recommendation (?).
Back then, when I investigated the topic, I found studies that indicated a higher than 30mg dose actually DID amplify the platelet effect, though the benefit curve WAS greatly reduced. Do you have any updated knowledge BTW that might possibly contradict any of his 2010 conclusions, or do you feel secure they are still valid today?
