Hi RAS,

Good job on the Oct. challenge!

I'm good with the "starch-based" part of this diet, and it looks like you are, too. One of my goals is to add more vegetables to my meals. Salads, greens, all kinds. You might think that over...

Be well,

Hi RAS -- hope you have a good day today. I'm doing the challenge too.
I see you're a salty -- for me it's sweet stuff. I eat my oatmeal with stevia and have stevia in my morning tea. I may try leaving it out of the tea or just splitting one pack of stevia between tea and oatmeal.

Adding more veggies is something I'm trying to be more mindful of; sometimes I find myself just wanting to eat starches and fruits, so I imagine I may see quicker weight loss if I fill up on veggies.

Hi Blondie,& Dog. Thanks for stopping by. I can't believe I am not craving to eat since I cut out salt and sweetners. I usually bring a ton of food to work, now I can only eat 1/2 of it.

Veggies,I do like them.My soup is loaded with them,And last night I had a a whole cuccumber with Vinegar and Mrs.Dash.Will stock up more this week-end.Am trying to eat what I have here before buying more. Tonight will be brussell sprouts. I'm trying not to eat too many fruits until I am my goal weight to keep my Tri's down.I can't seem to want to eat veggies for breakfast though. :) I am feeling good though about this challenge. RAS

Day # 7 Down 5.4 lbs.!!!!!!!!

That is awesome!! I quit diet sodas because the aspartame was giving me vertigo -- room spinning, motion sickness, nausea! I subbed with unsweetened iced tea for awhile, then went to water. Anyway, keep up the good work! Diet sodas are nothing but bottled chemicals.

It looks like you are doing great with the salt, sugar, sweeteners, & soda. I hope it is getting easier as you get more into it. That was my experience. As the dog said, Good going.
