In your before photo, your mouth was laughing but your eyes (soul) were crying. The transformation is incredible, and you are a whole new person. It's been an honor to travel just a short distance with you on our common journey.

Good luck in staying healthy Katie and congrats on your success. You are proof that the McDougall WOE works. I hope you return to the forums from time to time to share your experience, strength and hope. We get such great help here when we need it, and then we can 'give back' and help others who are struggling. So don't be a stranger. You may be just the inspiration someone needs to succeed. JoAnn

to - "Ruff" ,
I would recommend to drop by and update this thread about once every couple months, and let us know how things are progressing.
I really HATE my profile picture, but it reminds me to watch my eating. For me, that is a good motivator.

Katie, good luck on your journey! Your story that you posted in the Success Story forum was riveting and and my favorite! I wanted to hear more of your story so I am so glad to hear you are writing a book. I actually got a little teary eyed reading your farewell post today because I am so happy for you, and at the same time, so sad that sooo many people do not know what you have discovered - how amazing it is to eat plant based whole foods!

I, too, happened upon this way of eating because I picked up The China Study in Border's Books when they were going out of business. Little did I know it would change my life. As I read it, I knew I was reading Truth. I had to change because of that. I am so glad I found this forum (read about Dr. McDougall in The China Study and had to check him out), what inspiration and motivation I get here from you and so many others!

God bless you for sharing your experiences!

You got your health back, and got a new life. That speaks for itself! Of course you must spread your new found wings and soar high in the sky! You are looking great in your 'after' photo. Way to go Katie !

I just read this inspiring story of Kate. I am so grateful that this was moved to the testimonials and success stories. I would have never found this fantastic posting otherwise.
