On the way...

Postby israelIma » Mon Jan 13, 2014 2:45 pm

 I have gradually become better and better about sticking to this eating plan. I have not touched oil or dairy in a month. I have an occasional glass of red wine (used to be every night).

Last blood test was in October. My cholesterol was 269.
Today's blood test: cholesterol 210.
I've lost 4 pounds.
Fasting blood sugar is always below 100 (was 88 today). Previously it had been as high as 127.

Now not as dramatic as I would have liked, but still on the way down...

Good for you. You are making gradual progress. Sometimes, we have to keep repeating until we can finally get it right. Image

Wine is good. I have a glass of it from time to time myself.
On 7/8/2013, I decided to change my diet to a "mostly" WFPB diet. I have always been somewhat lean and muscular due to being a lifelong exerciser. Change in diet due to feeling crummy all the time despite a healthy outward appearance. Image

Great progress, Yael! It sounds like you are doing well. I think that good choices are self-reinforcing. The longer I avoid off-plan foods like oil the better I feel, and the less I want to eat off-plan.
