4wks tomorrow!

Postby dollmaker » Mon Jan 03, 2011 8:36 am

No, not a long time at all...though the results are so amazing, I can't believe I would ever go back to the way I was eating poisoning my body.

I have dropped over 20lbs, my fasting blood sugars are under 110 every morning for the past 2wks, and this morning was 92!

I love what I eat, and it is fun, since my vegan father moved in with me 3wks ago, to cook for him and have him sample my food experiments. He said he hadn't felt this good in such a long time, but at 86, I think he was tired of cooking for himself, and started eating out too much adding too much salt to his diet, causing fluid build up in his ankles...they are perfect now, with no fancy stockings.

Anyway...not to have ANY health symptoms at all anymore; blurry eyes, headaches, achy all over, thirst, hunger, fatigue, unable to focus (man I am so in tune now), anxious to make good food vs grab anything that comes my way, weight loss, normalized blood sugars, and no desire whatsoever for sweets, meat or dairy of any kind ( that is a first since last time I did this , 11yrs ago, I c raved those t hings for weeks)...I have no idea why the change for me, but I think it is mostly mental...this time I eat for health, not for weight loss.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL, you can do this!! just think of the alternative!

Congrats dollmaker!

I have been eating this way for 3 weeks -- I feel great! My blood sugars are ranging from 100-110 (fasting) and I have lost 12 lbs. so far! I'm due for bloodwork at the end of this month, but may delay it until mid-April so my dr. will see a more drastic change in me! 8) My last A1C was something like 7.5, and cholesterol around 200. (will have to dig out my lab report) Never been excited about getting bloodwork before!

c ool!! BLONDIE! well yeah see if you can wait 3 months, because A1C TESTs a three month period, so if you get it soon, it won't make much difference.. you need 3 months of s table blood sugars!! yay for you!!! ( you prolly know all that already)

yeah i loved my blood test, but it was a finger stick at the office..

Yes, that's a good idea, May 9 will be 3 months, so I'll put off my bloodwork until mid-May. :)
