September was a difficult month for me for weight loss. I gained weight several times, and didn't lose when I thought I should have. I had a very oily nose several times and I couldn't think where the oil was coming from. One day I only had salad for dinner and my weight went up. I believe my weight gain was due to honey mustard salad dressing. I only just started making this dressing and I really enjoy it. I was sure I wasn't having any oil so I looked up mustard on the internet.
Mustard seeds contain 36 grams of fat and 508 calories per 100 grams of seeds
for measures: 1 teaspoon = 2 grams, 1 tablespoon = 6.3 grams
I was using at least a tablespoon of dijon mustard in my dressing - I think this means I was taking in 2.3 grams of fat every time I had a big salad. (if I'm doing the math correctly)
Everyone time I eat fat I have an oily nose.
I stopped the mustard and I lost weight again this week.
