Hello everyone! This is just what I need, accountability!
I am a 60 yr old female :)
5'5" and 188 lbs. :(
I have asthma and awful allergies! :-(
I have read the Starch Solution and I am now reading the McDougall Program. :nod:
I am not doing a LOT of things right because I am not losing any weight, so I have decided to eat only sweet potatoes and water. :roll: I tend to be an emotional eater and not realizing how much I eat at a sitting. :lol:
I am going to try to keep a record of how much I am eating, when, and where. :!:
I am desperate, so we shall see how this goes. :shock:
I only have 4 outfits that fit and a closet full of size 8 and 10 clothing just waiting for me! :\
Here we go... :-D

I purchased 16.54 lbs of sweet potatoes. I think I purchased 4 different types but they were all charged as "OG Garnet Yam"
I also purchased 6 bags of frozen Stahl Diced Sweet Potatoes. Ingredients are sweet potatoes. That is it!
For the past couple of days I have only eaten oatmeal, rice, veggies, tea, coffee, water. So I realize I will have to stop the coffee and tea but I really need to get a full detailed lecture of coffee. Coffee is my best friend. I had a hard time going from regular to decaff but I have tried and tried to go without my coffee and I have not successfully done it as yet.

Down a half pound this week (-0.5). This is about as rigorous as my life is going to be until I get out of these big life changes I'm going through. A quick calculation tells me it will take about a year and a half to get to my goal at this pace. but as you keep to it, staying on plan gets easier the more you do it and I'm happy when I don't go off the rails.

Congratulations to all us losers!

Good morning all! Well I am stunned! Got up today and weighed in at 184! I was shocked! So I moved the scale to a couple of different places and then in the hallway. Still 184! Down 4 lbs.

Lost this week 1:8

I finished up my Mary's Mini this week -- I actually only did 9 days because then I ran out of rice and was pretty tired of it so I opted to end a day early. But nonetheless I had a good weight loss, 5 lbs. for the time I was on it, and I am quite happy with that. Now I have mainly substituted potatoes but also have added a little more variety, within the MWL guidelines. I ventured into something new this week, thanks to comments on this forum, and tried my potatoes with mustard and was totally surprised at how good they were! Who wouldda thunk!

Last week 242.6
This week 242.8
Goal is 145 - 12 lbs lost to date.
Gained 0.2 this week

Last week wasn't a great week and really expected to gain a couple lbs, so I'm glad it turns out I stayed basically the same. Determined to get my act together this week.
