Directions for the ticker

Go to tickerfactory.com and create a ticker. Make sure to put in a pin (password) and put the page in your favorites so you can update it when you weigh. Where it shows the codes, copy the code from the top box, bbcode box. Then come here and click on user control panel. Once in the panel, click on profile. From the side bar, click edit signature. In that box, paste that code you copied from the ticker factory into that box. Click submit and it is done.

When you update your ticker on the tickerfactory.com site, it will update the ticker in your signature line automatically! That is why you created the pin number/password code. Dont forget to bookmark the page.

It is just about the same with other ticker sites...I just dont know where to find the codes and stuff...but making a signature line here is the same process.

For those who are brand new.....Every Friday and Saturday, people post to this thread in the MWL forum the weight they have lost or gained. I post the weigh in results about 11am PST on Saturday mornings. Most people post just once a week, but please feel free to post as you will. Posting what you ate, struggles etc...are all welcome here....And of course all successes!!! Even non scale successes!!! Looser pants...falling pants!!! Ignored a craving...was offered some off plan food and you declined!!! Those are HUGE successes!!! And we need to celebrate those.

Remember...I only need the number of pounds lost or gained for the tally...


Anyone is welcome to join the weekly weigh-in group for weight loss as long as they follow the McDougall principles. This means it can be the Maximum Weight Loss plan, the regular McDougall plan, the Mary's Mini's, or any of the McDougall plans.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Now come on!!! Lets get healthy!!

I think it's about time I started participating in the MWL Weigh In Group. More accountability is always good. So Debbie I guess since this is my first time, I start at 0? Then next week will let you know + or -. Is that correct?

I would like to be a part of this group. I have been starch based for 3 3/4 years but over the last year some small compromises lead to new habits that caused weight gain. Time to get back to the basics. I would like to lose 8 pounds.

Hello everyone and Happy New Year!

I started back on the WFPB diet on Sunday Dec. 28th at 170.6 pounds. As of this morning Jan. 3rd I am at 162.4 pounds.

Down 8.2 pounds.

I am sure this is probably water weight but I'll take it and keep going forward. Debbie it is up to you if you want to use the weight loss or start me at zero. Your call...

I attempted to do this in the summer and didn't get very far. Since then my doctor has discovered that I am prediabetic and I am feeling much more motivation! I would love to get off of my blood pressure medicine and avoid diabetes. I know that both of those conditions are simply the result of my choices. I am looking forward to the accountability and encouragement of this group.
My beginning weight is 218.4.

Dang, way to go Lady M!

Some good progress here. I am down .6 since 1/1 and have also quit caffeine. My beginning weight was 220.2 (my highest weight ever--except for when I was pregnant with twins!).

I am most happy that I've been able to reach for starch instead of compulsively grabbing whatever sounds best in the pantry the few times I've been hungry between meals. I have a husband and children who don't yet follow this WOE so there is still some processed food in the house although I'm going to try to slowly shift them over.

Looking forward to following everyone's progress!
