Wow look at all our new folks - fantastic to have so many people come aboard!!!! I have read all your stories and I am so glad you all have come to the McDougall WOE! It's obvious we have all done lots of reading to get here :lol: We're in this together now - so welcome and best wishes - Michelle

I didn't weigh in a bunch of December - I was eating pretty straight MWL and occasionally loosing BUT.....

I have fibromyalgia, and though many with this condition are not affected by weather, I am. When storms are setting up here - my pain and fatigue go way up as the barometer goes down. Oddly, I also go into water retention big time. So, my weight goes up pounds and pounds overnight - even when I am being program perfect.

California has been in drought for the last three years and I have forgotten about this - but this December we got an amazing foot of rain. On December 11th we got 5 inches of that rain. Below you can see what that did to my weight!

Nov. 1, 2014 - 240
Nov. 8, 2014 - 237.6
Nov. 14, 2014 -236.6
Nov. 21, 2014 - 237.6
Nov. 28, 2014 - 240.4
Dec. 05, 2014 - 238.2
Dec. 11, 2014 - 247 the 5 inch storm
Dec. 22, 2014 - 239
Dec. 31, 2014 - 231.6
Jan. 02, 2015 - 229.4

I didn't write down all my weight changes this month but every storm I gained big weight and the storms were one right after the other for weeks and weeks. I plotted the storm days and weight and it was obvious. Then I decided not to weigh in with you guys because I was eating right but gaining from something that was very much not eating off program.

Anyway since my last official weigh in
Dec. 05, 2014 - 238.2
Jan. 02, 2015 - 229.4

Down - 8.8 pounds

First time joining a group. I've been "playing with The Starch Solution for 2 years. Lost 35 pounds the first 6 months, then hit a major plateau. Slowly became Starchivore at home, but free for all everywhere else. I've gained 25 pounds back over the last year. I am ready to heal my body and get healthy again! I have a long way to go, and I hope this accountability will be one of my motivators to stick with it.
I set up the ticker factory chart, but can't get it to paste on this post. Can someone tell me how?

Hello,

I gained back a lot of weight last year and now my goal weight is 75 pounds away. I have been keeping a food diary for the last several months to figure out what I need to change. I haven't eaten meat for years so that is not a problem. I need to completely cut out wine and fried foods, potato chips and french fries specifically. Plus I need to focus on stress reduction techniques.

I have all the cookbooks, know what to do, so now I need to just do it!

Hello everyone! I'm also new this month. I saw the posting dr. Mcdougall did on facebook and thought joining other mcdougallers would help me stick to my new lifestyle. I'm a longtime low fat vegan but I lost my way after moving in with my significant other and having our daughter. Time to get back to me now! Wish everyone well and excited for tomorrow's weigh in!

I am joining this group today for support. I have been vegan for 10 years and attended the McDougal l10 day program in 2004. But I am not a slim vegan and need to do better. I will report my starting weight tomorrow. Let's offer encouragement for all in the group.

Oh home v. the real world boy do I hear that!!!. Family gatherings are killer for me. But now I have family cooking vegan for me as of this year. I was taking my own and they just figured out what I was doing and did it for me, nice :lol:

TICKER SIGNATURE
. I use Lily Slim but I think they are similar. Just complete your ticker and then on the last page cut bb code.Then back to this forum and to your Control panel page and select Signature and paste and save the bb code in the box there. It should show up just fine then on your posts, if you have attach a signature. checked under options just below your posting box.

Ok.... New to this group. A little uncertain on what I need to do. Who do I send weigh in data to? How do I post those cool weight tracking ticker tapes? Etc. Is there a getting started section? Help! :-o

Glad to see others restarting as well. This is a start of not only my participating in this weight in, but also a commitment to myself. I have started a journal to keep track of what I have eaten, drinking water, etc. in addition, I am going to cancun in April so I am counting down to that.

Starting weight today - 148lbs. 92 days to cancun.

I'm in! Now weighing 145 pounds. This is a big lapse after having mostly kept to a starch-based vegan diet for over a year now. The holidays with family visitors chiding me caused me to "go on vacation" until after they left. I miss them dearly now that they're gone, but not enough to keep eating stollen made with butter and cream, cheesy sauces, added oils and all those grotesque things that my family expects me to serve them!

Planning to drop down to 136 pounds now, where I really feel my best.

I love that there is this forum of support and encouragement that we can all provide for each other! Thank you!
