Dr Barnard at PCRM recently covered 2 studies of diet vs Covid 19.

Plant Based Diet and Covid 19 What Science Shows, PCRM Exam Room Podcast Aug 5, 2021

The studies

Bottom line more fruits and vegetables, less meat and junk, less covid 19 risk and severity.

I finally got covid-19 last month. No fever. Minor body aches for a few days. Fatigue for about 2 weeks. I lost some of my smell but it came back within a few weeks. My wife had a similar experience. My kids were sick for a few days with minor symptoms. No medication or doctors were needed. I attribute this to the McDougall diet. Since changing my diet over a decade ago all the colds/flus I have had have been minor. People are so worried about getting the vaccine, but they should be more worried about a future mutation or virus that our vaccines may not cover. Eating well, sleeping well, and exercise seems to be the best thing we can do to protect ourselves from the majority of things that cause death.

The data from the above quoted studies strongly suggest our way of eating can be protective against the most devastating symptoms of covid. Not sure why the mass media isn't touting these fndings.

You have to think like them. Which stories will give the viewer a chance to change the channel?

Everyone likes hearing good news about their bad habits, conversely - telling me I'm wrong will make me flip the channel. I will seek out media that tells me I'm correct.

Our age of multimedia is a two edged sword. The good stuff is out there - its just in that haystack over there.
