Hilton Papagayo is a sprawling beachfront resort with small bungalows nestled in the hills throughout the property. There is a private sandy beach which is great for swimming just steps away from the large swimming pool in front of the resort. There are hiking trails for wildlife viewing located on the resort property.

The new large international terminal opened on January 12, 2012 in Liberia, Costa Rica. Many additional airlines are now offering flights to this destination, which is an easy 20 minute transport from the airport to the resort.
