As of this past Thursday, I was told to discontinue taking Simvastatin (Zocor). My total cholesterol total is down to 116 (Triglycerides: 103, HDL: 36, LDL: 59, Ratio: 3.2). I'm sorry that I don't have my last reading from several months ago handy to show how much it has dropped.
I started this WOE one month ago tomorrow (4/23), have smashed through the weight loss plateau that I have been on since February, and now this!
One more piece of great news, as of this past Thursday, my nephrologist at Hopkins told me that the glomerulonephritis I have suffered from since 2005/2006 is in remission!
Now, I can't say that a month of McDougalling has accomplished this alone, but I'm positive it has contributed! (My wife and I have been transitioning into vegetarians [and now vegans!] since sometime last year.)
Now if I can get off the Lisinopril, I will be ecstatic!
