McDougall Advanced Study Weekends
are
dedicated to broadening the understanding of plant-food based nutrition
and conservative medical care. Our impressive guest speakers present new opinions and research
to our sophisticated audiences. Even though we call them “advanced
study,” these educational events are designed for the benefit and
enjoyment of those just beginning on the road to better health, as well
as medical and nutrition professionals. Nor are participants expected to
have attended a
10-day
program before coming. Cost for this weekend is $395 pp (includes all meals and education). Room is extra. Special room rates available at the resort through us. Markets Chad recently moved to Austin from London, where he was Executive Chef and creator of the acclaimed SAF restaurant brand, featuring a raw foods/vegan cuisine and operated in London, Istanbul, and Munich. Luigi Fontana, M.D., Ph.D., Researcher
Dr. Fontana is the Director of the
Division of Nutrition and Aging, Italian National Institute of Health,
Rome, Italy, and an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Washington
University School of Medicine, St. Louis. He has published many
scientific articles on vegan diets. His current research interest is in
nutrition, aging and longevity in humans. |

Doug Lisle, PhD Dr. Lisle is the co-author of the national bestselling book, The Pleasure Trap. His two DVD sets, The Pleasure Trap and Losing Weight without Losing Your Mind are changing people’s lives. He is a graduate of the University of California at San Diego, (Summa Cum Laude). He was awarded the President's Fellowship and was a DuPont Scholar at the University of Virginia, where he completed his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. He was then appointed Lecturer in Psychology at Stanford University and was on the staff at the National Center for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in Palo Alto, California. He lectures nationally to health professionals on topics including evolutionary psychology, cognitive therapy, lifestyle modification, relaxation, stress management, and weight loss. Dr. Lisle sees clients in his private practice. He conducts both short-term individual psychotherapy as well as counseling for making critical decisions. |
