Spicy Garbanzo Spread

Serves:Makes 1 1/2 cups

This makes a delicious sandwich spread or wrap filling, a dip for raw vegetables or a stuffing for pita bread.

Ingredients

  • 15 oz. can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 1/2 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (optional)
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp agave nectar
  • dash Sriracha hot sauce

Directions

Place all ingredients (except hot sauce) in a food processor and process until smooth. Taste and add hot sauce as desired. Refrigerate at least 1 hour to allow flavors to blend. This makes a delicious sandwich spread or wrap filling, a dip for raw vegetables or a stuffing for pita bread.
