Brandy Nog Creme Anglaise

Serves:Makes about 1 1/2 cups

  • 1 cup cashew creme
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp brandy (optional)
  • 1 vanilla bean, split
  • pinch salt
  • 1-2 tbsp sugar (optional)


In a sauce pan combine all the ingredients. Bring to a gentle simmer over low heat while stirring frequently with a wooden spoon. As it heats, it will thicken. The sauce is ready when it is thick enough to coat the back of the spoon.
