What a surprise to see your message! :-) Thanks for the warm fuzzy. I'm not one of these people that lost tons of weight, or came back from the brink of acute illness, but my good numbers do reflect a lot of hard work and effort in changing my lifestyle over the last 4 years. It's been especially challenging getting myself to do regular exercise.

The last time I saw my doctor he couldn't stop exclaiming about my numbers, particularly the cholesterol. I think he's envious. On the other hand, he still doesn't see the importance of this diet.

Later this fall I will have a follow-up bone scan (3 yrs ago they said I had osteopenia) and I do hope to have another great number to add to my sig then!!!!!!!!!
on the McD program since 2002: age=65, BMI=18, b/p=110/70, tc=126, McD=100%.

Hi AnnaS. - Gosh, those are great stats. I'm similar in situation to you. I and my family started McDougalling about 4 1/2 years ago to improve our health, but none of us had any major weight or health issues.

I'm so glad we did. We haven't had any colds or flu around here in that time, and we just all love eating this way.

Here are my numbers: BP is usually 90/60, resting HR is around 56, BMI is 18. something (I forget :? ) and I'm almost 48 years old. I think my cholesterol last time it was checked was 138.

This is no brag on me. I thank God that he led us to Dr. McDougall's materials, and I thank Dr. McD. for a wonderful and easy to follow lifestyle.

Congratulations on your good health! I have not entirely eliminated colds myself (I did have a bad one this summer), but in general my chronic sinus and susceptibility to viruses, etc have improved HUGELY. I used to be mildly sick more or less all the time; now it's only occasionally. I hope to continue improving!
