Legumes and lectins

Postby Fabryuk » Mon Mar 25, 2019 3:00 am

Hi all,

Typing from Italy and been diagnosed 3 months ago witH MS RR.
I m following starch solution approach but sometimes I feel quite confused listening pwople speaking about paleo diet and how bad can be legumes/cereals.

Can anyone explain me what's the real problem with them?
Seems quite strange to me that meat and fish would be consodered "healtier"than legumes and whole grains.

Thanks for you help

There are a lot of quacks out there promoting lectin free diets. A simple web search will show you no scientific evidence backs up the claim that lectin is harmful to humans or that a lectin free diet will sign show reverse disease. So I would not worry about this non-issue any longer longer and run away from supplement salesman like Dr. Steven Gundry. Here is what the Mayo Clinic has to say about the matter: https://newsnetwork.mayoclinic.org/disc ... ting-them/
