I am so happy to have found this message board, I wish I knew about it sooner! :)

My new years resolution this year was to become a vegetarian and I have had success...as a matter of fact I didn't slip up even once. Actually the resolution was to ditch meat AND soda. SUCCESS!! :D

I felt so good, it was a total transformation. I kept researching veganism and the perils of dairy but didn't believe for a second I could ever do that. Well...eventually you get to the point that you have enough info. that continuing as you are is just not an option. So, that said, I now have 4 days 100% vegan under my belt! PERFECT time to find this forum!!

Now...off to read... :D

Welcome MarieAnn,

Congratulations on your vegetarian success.

I can relate, because I also first "gave up" meat and junk, and only later gave up dairy after reading The China Study and viewing a couple of Dr. McD videos.

Dr. McD makes a library of information freely available. Also people here share practical tips from their personal responses.

Thanks all for the warm welcome.

Day 5 and so far it's pretty easy going. Maybe I'm one of the fortunate few who won't struggle (please!) but I keep waiting for the cravings and they don't come. I think it's because over the course of this whole year I have weaned myself down to very little dairy.

I already feel lighter and cleaner. :)

Day 6, unexpected results already:

Softer skin.
Easier and longer sleep.
1 and a half lbs. weight loss and I wasn't even looking for weight loss!
But I think the biggest thing is my moods are so even and I feel so much calmer and mellow. I feel lighter and cleaner and just calm and not so "shakey."

Never thought by 6 DAYS I'd be able to brag about results! :)

I have lost about 60 lbs and never thought I'd be in the 150s ever again. cured my NAFLD!! Feel great!! Wt loss is so good for the knees and back, ankle, that I know I will never start back to the SAD way of eating again.
