What would cause a CRP of 1.4?

Postby glittereyes9 » Sat Sep 19, 2020 9:39 am

28, F

I have been mostly WFPB for the last 3-4 years (excluding going out to restaurants every once in a while). All of my other numbers are great (total cholesterol 105, BP 90/60, A1c 5.0, weight is normal). I exercise a lot too. What would cause my CRP to be slightly elevated like this?

I'd call you doctor's office on this one. Also doing a google search will help you know what the test is for. I'm not a medical person, so I'm not comfortable even passing on what google said.

CRP is very sensitive to other things going on in your body.
CRP does not mean much if you are sick.
Also a flu shot will increase it also.
I was worried about the value being too high a few years back.
I did some research and found studies that cautioned about the flu shot.
I retook the test a while after the shot and my values were ok.
Take the test only if you are not sick and have not taken any shots.
In any case take it again after some time.
