Dr McDougall: 81 mg aspirin and primary thrombocytosis

Postby Quinda » Tue Jul 21, 2020 10:30 am

I take hydroxyurea daily (one pill one day and two pills the next) and one 81 mg aspirin daily as per hematologist's advice. Never had a stroke or clot but did have high platelet count until I started on the medication. I am wondering if it would be better to take one every other day, in your opinion. I read your newsletter saying that it only takes 1/3 of a baby aspirin to work. I started having high platelets about a year ago and it quickly became normal with the medication. That is all I take besides B12.
