Elimination diet and Osteoporosis

Postby tlauria » Sat Jul 04, 2020 9:19 pm

Hi,

Hope I am posting this in a good spot.

I recently redid the elimination diet, using brown rice and sweet potatoes, which has always been my safe foods. Unfortunately I did not see any results this time and I was surprised. I really need to try again because I’ve got some serious inflammation spots.

Two questions- I may have to use a different starch as a safe food so I can test without sweet potatoes or brown rice. Any suggestions? I need to be very limited on the vegetables I eat along with the seafood, so will need something reasonably satisfying.

I also have early onset osteoporosis and because I have some major food issues and don’t eat a big variety, I am concerned that I’m not getting in the nutrients I need to keep my bones healthy. Any suggestions for doing an elimination diet and getting in the nutrients? I have had to use vegan calcium and vitamin D previously.

Thank you so much.
