Hi all. A friend of mine, late 70yo has been disgnised with prostate cancer & now throat cancer. He’s a long term vegetarian & has been in & out of a vegan diet in receyears to recover from ulcerative colitis. His prostate diagnosis came about 9 months ago & throat cancer about a month ago.
He has reluctantly decided to go ahead with chemotherapy & radiation.
My question is he asked the hospital dietitian about his post treatment diet as he’s been advised that he’ll be on liquids (oral & nasal tube) for some time to nourish him while he cannot eat. He asked what that would be & they advised him sustagin. He’s really noyt keen on taking this, preferring to take his own nutribullet & blending his own drinks.
Does anyone have any advice/recipes?
