Acid-Alkaline Foods

Postby MizFrog » Thu Dec 27, 2018 11:15 am

Hi there, this is my first post.
From Healthline.com, this list of acidic foods to avoid:

• all cooking oils, including olive oil and canola oil
• grains, such as rice, corn, wheat, barley, oats, and quinoa
• cheese and butter
• nut butters, including peanut and almond butter
• all animal proteins (red meat, poultry, fish, shellfish)
• pasta
• beans and legumes
• alcohol (beer, wine, spirits)

This covers almost everything on the McDougall diet.
Any discussion on this would be appreciated, especially in relation to a cancer diet, which should be alkaline, not acidic.
Thanks,
Sandra

You will most certainly find this thread to be valuable: viewtopic.php?f=22&t=8551

The McDougall diet is a very alkaline diet.
