pneumonia vaccine after major surgery

Hello! I know Dr. McDougall is not a fan of the flu vaccine. Does anyone know his, or other WFPB-type drs'., recommendations for receiving the pneumonia vaccine after a major surgery, especially one who is older? I did a site search, but didn't really come up with anything. I also know that the decision is ultimately left to the patient +/or their legal representative. Still would appreciate any thoughts. Thank you in advance!
