Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS)

Postby donnainnc » Tue Sep 18, 2018 4:00 am

My husband has had APS for 13 years. It is an autoimmune disease that causes his blood to clot. Since his diagnosis he has had 3 clotting events even when taking blood thinners. The most recent just 6 weeks ago when he develop a pulmonary embolism which caused complications with his adrenal glands. He was in the ICU unit at the hospital for 3 days. Does anyone have experience with APS and the McDougall diet? I would think that the other autoimmune diseases this diet helps it would also benefit him to try.
