My husband is new to this woe. He is doing amazing. He is diabetic and just this week his blood suger has been under 200 3 times. He has been eating this way for 6 months. His Dr. told him he needed to take chromium supplements to help his body handle the insulin. Chromium is a bit pricey. He would like to use plants to do it. What should he eat. I am so proud of him. I know broccoli has lots of chromium. But how much do you have to eat to get what you need? His dosage was 200mcg a day. Thanks.

Hi Mishapraise,

Besides B12, Dr. McDougall does not recommend supplementation:

From Jeff Novick regarding Chromium:

Personally, I would not take any nutrition advise from normal doctors as they are not educated or informed. Make sure your husband is following Dr. McDougall's way of eating strictly.

Cheers,
Scott
