Taylor's Accountability Journal and Plan

Postby taymariekay » Sun Jun 09, 2019 9:22 pm

I'm starting this journal to help hold me accountable and help break me out of this stuck place I've been in for so long. It's been a long road and struggle with food addiction and I have a hard time staying on plan (partially due to my environment), so my goal is 100% compliance for the next 21 days. Here are all my stats:

Age: 28
Sex: Female
Height: 5' 8"
Current weight: 198.2 lbs
Goal weight: 125 lbs

Food triggers: flour, anything processed, sugar, oil, high sodium foods, dried fruit, smoothies, artificial sweeteners, peanut butter, tahini, Ezekiel bread, tofu.

Possible trouble foods: some fruits cause me to overeat on them - sticking to a small bowl of fruit in the mornings only

My "safe" foods: brown rice, cold potatoes, frozen hash browns, sweet potatoes, beans/lentils (no soy), vegetables, low sugar fruits and berries

My condiments: liquid aminos, mustard, no sugar added ketchup, no salt added salsa, nutritional yeast, hot sauce, herbs and spices, small amounts of salt/sodium

Short term goals:

MWL compliant for 21 consecutive days (starting Monday June 10th)
Not a morsel of a trigger food during 21 days
Journal everyday on here
Lose 3 lbs
Drink 3 bottles of water per day (75 oz)
Keep cooked starches, soups and stews stocked in fridge at all times

Possible road blocks and challenges:

Work - break room snacks
Solution - bring lots of food to work and don't go hungry

Home - family's junk food
Solution - keep fridge stocked with my foods and ask them to hide all their junk. Keep carrot sticks handy.

Father's Day - we always order in and eat lots of candy
Solution - make a delicious meal for myself and have fruit for dessert

Wish me luck! I will check in tomorrow :)

That looks like a sound plan.

Best of luck... and keep us posted!

My food today:

-Small bowl of fruit which had an apple, some grapes and a few strawberries.
-2 small japanese sweet potatoes with steamed green beans and brussel's sprouts, nutritional yeast and mustard
-1 cup brown rice with broccoli, salsa, nutritional yeast, and hot sauce
-Small bowl of steamed potatoes and greens
-Some grapes for a night time snack

I probably had too much fruit, but since I'm trying to stay away from sugar, junk and the bad stuff, I'm allowing myself some more leeway with the fruit for now. My next 21 day challenge will be more strict in that way.

I won't be weighing myself until day 21.

Day 1 - success!

Food from yesterday:

Oatmeal and blueberries with date syrup
Brown rice pinto beans broccoli salsa nutritional yeast
Nectarine and Apple
Small JSP with greens beans
Oatmeal with blueberries and date syrup
Carrots
Bowl of corn
Bowl of Brussels sprouts
Grapes and strawberries

I kinda just grazed and snacked all day instead of having bigger meals. Which I liked!

I woke up this morning and weighed myself out of curiosity even though I really shouldn't have.

Weighed in at 194.3! Down like 4 lbs! But I think it's water weight released from my period :)

Feeling good!

Waffle maker hash browns....sounds so good!!

Today's food:

Brussel's sprouts with brown rice
Apple
Oatmeal with cocoa and dates
Two baked potatoes

Cocoa and dates were not compliant for me, but only flavors I had on hand at the time.

Going shopping tomorrow and getting stocked up on the good stuff!
