Day 1

Postby Idgie » Sun Jun 09, 2019 8:56 am

Wt: 306.8

On the one hand, it's embarrassing that I start over so much these days. On the other hand, I'm proud of continuing to come back to healthy eating. My goal is to put "Day 365" up there a year from now.

I'm gonna McDougall this week and not worry about MWL. If I gain weight, I'll adjust it down in the calorie density. Once I hit 30 days of strict McDougalling, I'll revisit it, and see if I want to cut out sugar/salt/flours/etc. Right now, I'm just focusing on no oil and no animal products. I already don't drink juice or eat a lot of nuts/olives/avocados (because they're expensive, which is probably a good thing).

Plan today is to have sweet potatoes, oats, and greens, with maybe some fruit.

Actual:
B: Sweet potatoes with greens and mushrooms, and a cup of tea with brown rice syrup and almond milk :-)
L: Mom surprised me with lunch out. She bought fried things to share; I did not share. I did the best I could on the restaurant's menu and got tofu, rice, and veggies. It was good. :-)
S: Snagged a few of partner's fries before realizing what I was doing; it will get easier not to do this as time goes on, I know. :-(
S: A few pretzels (plain, no fat)

Hi Idgie! Have you seen Dr. Lisle’s checklist? I think it’s on his perfect personality lecture. His recommendation is to get 80% checked off per week, so that the pursuit of perfection doesn’t backfire. While having 100% days are great, getting two out of three meals right deserves recognition. You do so well! You’ve learned so much, and come so far. Don’t forget all the great choices you’re making.
