Thanks so much, MWL buddy.
I'm back on track today, and I'm taking your advice and Dr. McD's to get things back in gear. Went to the gym this morning, too. I think my hormone soup has evened out now. Menopause has really made my monthly hormones very weird. Much weirder than when I was pre-menopausal.
Plan for today:
B: Sweet potatoes and veggies
L: Sweet potatoes and veggies
S: Soup
D: Sweet potatoes and veggies
Actual:
B: sweet potatoes
S:
L: ate out -- veggie dog, low-fat chips, juice
D: roasted sweet potato fries with the balsamic dijon marinade from Chef AJ's brussels sprouts
S: sweet potato and a little sweet mustard
I won't do the sweet potatoes this way every time, but they were good. I'm positive steaming is a lower calorie density way to prepare them, but they were a tasty treat, and my kid really liked them, even not fried.
Went to the gym today and rode the exercise bike hard for over an hour, then walked for a long time while shopping with partner.
Finally a good day after some rough ones. Lunch wasn't MWL, but it was the best option there, and that's something I don't mind once in a while. Much better than bingeing on fried stuff.
Symptoms: some soreness in my ankle from all the walking; weird pain in my upper back for a few minutes -- like chest pain but in the back. Will keep an eye on it.
Drugs: just my reduced thyroid and beta-blocker
