Teresa's No Processed Journal 2011

Weight - 155.2 =(

Breakfast -
1 cup dry Oatmeal
1 cup berries
Done and on track!!

Lunch -
1.5 cups rice
1 cups garbanzo beans
2 cups broccoli
Changed lunch a bit, but still legal. =)

Dinner -
1.5 cup rice
1 cup garbanzo beans
1.5 cup peppers, onion and Tomatoes

Snack -
Banana

Did not have any black beans cooked up.

Tonight I am cooking Pintos, blacks and garbanzo beans to freeze. So will be ready for the rest of the week.

Yes Bean's and Rice I did weigh in. =)

Hi Teresa! I saw in your last journal you wanted to start a 30 day challenge.... I am in! We have about the same amount of weight to lose, I am 160 & would like to get down to 125. When did you want to start the challenge? I am even willing to cut out coffee :)

Hi Beans and Rice
I just started new today. I am going to cut out all processed food. I may even cut out the coffee, not sure about that one. I actually would be happy if I could get 15 pounds off. But 25 would be my dream. I have a son getting married next July and want to look good for the wedding. So what you say we check each others journal every day and see how we are doing and make comment on it. Even if it is just looking good. I don't know what it is about me, but I need people to check me, guess it is the college student still in me. If I think no one is looking I will start eating crap, vegan crap, but crap just the same. And I am ok, if you think I am eating something I should not to call me out on it.
So I will check your journal and you check mine, sound like a deal?

Great idea. I like having support, thoughts and comments about how I am doing. We will keep tabs on eachother! Your meals look great! Coffee is the toughest for me. I really enjoy it, it's kind of my only me time every day. I'll think more about it. :mrgreen:

Beans's and Rice~

Did you see I added in my weight. I like to preplan the night before so I go back in the morning and add my weight.

Coffee is very hard for me. I love the taste, smell and everything about it. But we will see. I did not have any this morning, because my hubby was gone and he is the one that fixes it. =(

Morning Teresa! Your food for today looks great! I was awoken by my DH who had to work early. So tired. Having coffee. :| Are you having coffee today? Are you weighing in everyday? I am going to continue to do so, helps me. Although last night DH was having chips & beer.... I had a handful or 2 & small glass of wine.. Change is tough!

Yes Beans I am weighing every day. Seems to work for me right now. I was up a pound today, but I am not worried. When I started the no process food last year I went up the first day as well so I expected it. But in the long run it should be coming down.

Had to change my food again, I was out of Oatmeal, so doing rice this morning. =)

Hi Beans ~ Doing good! On here late as I had to take my car in for a check up this morning and then had a baby shower to attend for a dear friend. Did excellent at the shower, went full and just ate a little fruit!! =) Bravo for me.

Going in the right direction. You know being totally on plan works pretty good. =)

Breakfast -
1.5 cups rice
1 cup Strawberries, blueberries and blackberries mixed

Lunch -
3/4 cup rice
3/4 cup Lentil soup
1 handful of "Southern Greens" from Trader Joe's. Never seen these before, I stopped in to get some kale and thought that sounds good and picked up a bag. Pretty good!


Dinner-
1 cup mashed potatoes, just potatoes nothing added
1/2 cup peas
1/2 cup corn

Snack - Watermelon, nice size piece would probably count as 2 fruits.

Nice job on the baby shower! Temptation is tough... Your food for today looks good as well as your weigh in! Very nice! I did eat a handful of chips today...man it's tough but I am doing mostly good. Hope your having a great evening. :)

I was going to ask too - do you make your own lentil soup or is it from a can? I added lentils to a soup once bit it didn't turn out that great...

Hi Beans~

I make my own. It happens to be my hubby's favorite so we have it quite a bit. It is pretty easy.

2 cup lentils
1 onion
2 carrots, I use 4
2 celery, I use 4 or 5
2 potatoes
3 bay leaves
1/4 tsp thyme
8 cups water

I water cook the onions, celery, thyme and bay leaves. then add everything else and cook for about an hour. Sometimes I need to add a little more water. It is great

Thanks Deb! I think I am back on the road again. Wow it was hard to get back on it though. =)
