I steam it. Need to remember to cook it more often.

Love the frozen broccoli from Costco. It now comes with 4 1-lb packages in a large bag. They are steaming bags that you can pop in the microwave or if you prefer you can open the package and cook the broccoli on a stove top. We find we need to cook it a bit longer than the 5 minutes called for. We prefer it at 7 to 7:30 minutes in our microwave. It is always sweet and delicious, not too soft.

Gave up purchasing fresh broccoli from the grocery store or farmers' market as it is always bitter and you pare away so much. With the frozen steaming bag, you get to eat all you paid for. Ready in minutes. Same for their brussels sprouts. Can steam for a quick snack or to drop on top of a potatoes or into any recipe calling for broccoli or sprouts.

That song was awesome. Broccoli is affectionately known as just broc at my house, as it it my kids favorite vegetable. She will love this ode to broc.

In my house, it is always steamed for 6 minutes. 5 might be better, but the kid and wife like it a little softer than me. It also softens up a bit if you put it in a glass bowl and put a lid on it for a while.
