Nutritional yeast

Postby secdroid » Sat Feb 09, 2019 3:42 pm

I'd like to get started with nutritional yeast. Local supermarket only has small canisters of Bob's Red Mill. I'd like to order larger quantities from Amazon or other online seller.

Any suggestions about preferred brands and/or sellers?

If you like Bob's Red Mill brand, you can buy it by the case - 4 of those 8-ounce bags - either through Amazon or direct from Bob's.

You can even buy a 25 pound bag of it direct from Bob's, too.

If you don't care if it's Bob's or another brand, Amazon sells Red Star brand in 6 pound tubs. This is what I buy, and I think others have said this is the brand Whole Foods has in their bulk bins.

I haven't personally seen any of the non-fortified brands in anything other than single packages, like Sari or KAL's unfortified.

Thanks, VeggiSue. It turns out that Amazon sells both brands in various quantities. Cheaper than my supermarket.
