Only one (1) for ever and ever ... vote please ... poll

Better get swiftly to the point before I get bumped to the religious forum ... :-)

Were you only able to use one (1) online chef/cook/recipe designer (call it what you will) for the rest of your life who would it be? As this is a McDougall forum we have to say (of course) with the exception of Mary McDougall ... I'm sure she will allow us this small disloyalty on one occasion ...

For myself I'd put my cross in the box for Anja Cass though I love many other online cooks (Voisin, zombie hunters, thugs etc).

Who would you vote for?

Katherine

There's this guy from Florida who teaches how to cook real meals in the real world that taste great, are quickly and easily prepared, cost as much or as little as you want them to, and couldn't be any healthier.

Cooking after his instructions is a sort of healthy culinary school: I now have templates to use all the interesting and colorful vegetables, greens, legumes, starches and spices I find. It's like having a superpower, the power to prepare a fantastic, healthy meal under almost any circumstances.

Some of his recipes on Facebook

His cooking videos are invaluable (and extremely entertaining)

This cooking method has probably saved my life. At least the good parts of it!

I would vote for Cathy Fisher of Straight Up Food.

I have been fortunate to attend Cathy’s demonstrations at the McDougall Program, and find that her recipes always turn out (so are well-tested) and are delicious.

Me too! And I don't have to modify them to be SOS/flour-free.

Chuck Underwood
Brand New Vegan

He has more recipes that I have copied into my hard file (little blue box with index cards in it) and that I have memorized, than any other. But I'm at a place right now where I want things to be as absolutely simple as possible, so I'm gonna be getting into Fast Food by Jeff Novick. Can I vote for two? :D

If I could only have one, I would
either pick Joy of Cooking or something by Madhur Jaffrey. I can adapt pretty much anything to be oil free and vegan, but sometimes need a reference like Joy, and Madhur Jaffrey’s Flavors are just awesome! Many of the Wfbp cookbooks are too basic for my needs.

Oops, I just realized you didn’t mean cookbooks. I love cookbooks. Not fond of on-line stuff in the kitchen. Must have paper to make my notes and edits. That said, I love Fatfeevegan.com. But I print out her recipes and stash them in big folders. Wish she would sell them as a book.

I have always liked Robin Robertson http://robinrobertson.com/

Her cookbooks are wonderful.

She does use a little oil, but I just leave it out.

I don't really use many online recipes and the only cookbook I currently own is the McD quick and easy one. It does what it says and it's the only cook book I really need.

Of the few other onlite cooking sites I have browsed through I like Cathy Fisher and Ann Esselstyn the best.
So I will now flip a coin to determine my vote.

Heads/ Fisher or tails/Esselstyn?
(Flipping sound).

Heads!
Fisher it is.

Unless I decide to flipflop...
