A friend made peanut butter sandwiches with pumpkin butter instead of jelly for her kiddo yesterday, which sounds genius. Every recipe I've come across has a ridiculous amount of sugar.
This is what I'm thinking I'm going to do:
Pumpkin purée (2 cans)
Apple sauce
Date paste
Pumpkin pie spice
Combine everything in a pan and cook until thick and spreadable.
