From the Doc today. Been on the diet 3 weeks

Your recent blood work showed that your fasting blood sugar level was in a prediabetic range, your triglyceride level was high and your good cholesterol level was low. My recommendations are to exercise regularly (brisk walk) at least 30 minuates a day for 5 to 7 days a week, to eat healthy low-carbohydrate high-fiber diet, to cut down on butter, greasy and fried food, and to take over-the-counter fish oil, omega 3 or flaxseed oil 1,000 mg one capsule twice a day with meals.

Your recent medical visit shows that your doctor has a poor understanding of nutrition! My recommendations are to smile and nod, and continue to follow Dr. McDougall's advice on nutrition.
