Fermented Rice and B-12

Hi Jeff,
Are you aware of any study that was done using fermented rice which help improve B-12 levels? Let me know what you know surrounding this topic please.

Follow up question, Fermented food itself may not contain B12 per say. The fermented food have healthy bacteria, that in turn may help digest/absorb whatever B12 we consume from various sources, increasing the levels of b-12. Any validity to this? If not we can close this thread. Thanks for your time, I just wanted to check if there is any scientific validity to this.

B12 is produced by bacteria, not animals, and those bacteria can be found in many fermented foods, such as tempeh, kombucha, and some types of kimchi and sauerkraut, and can also be found in a number of other plant sources such as some types of seaweed and even some fermented teas.

No.

In fact, some foods have a B12 analogue that interferes with the absorption of true b12.

Again, to date, fermented foods have never been shown to be a reliable source of B12
