Low Iron

Postby hallelujah » Sat Jun 01, 2019 5:23 pm

Hello Jeff,

Im in a bit of a panic mode right now. My labs came back and my Iron levels are falling down since Mcdougall WOE for past 3 months.
The Dr. is concerned and will be speaking to me Tuesday regarding taking more tests. Here are my results:

_3 months ago current test

Triglycerides -122 (normal) 130 (normal)
LDL - 216 172

I am having hair loss, short of breath (I read these could be symptoms of iron deficiency anemia)
My body feels good and improved since this WOE and I have lost 15# for a total of 32#.
My blood pressure has went from 120 to 100 since this WOE

I sure would appreciate your feedback on these numbers.
I also will start B-12, eat a bit more fruit for vitimin C to help absorbsion of iron
I will also eat more green veggies for iron.

I don't mind her taking more tests, however Im concerned about supplements or iron infusions

I will talk to her on Tuesday, if you could respond before then. I nervous about telling her my WOE and her opposing me.
Don't know if this WOE will correct this low iron problem and absorbtion. I would like to give it another 3 months and test again.
Any thoughts on this? Thanks for your help. My cholesterol is down and Im glad about that. More to go.

Thanks Jeff.

While I would love to help, I am unable to provide a specific response to personal medical situations in the forum, even if you were a patient.

You can find some general information here....
