The Worst Offender?

Postby Gwen » Mon May 06, 2019 9:48 am

Hi Jeff,
After all the people you've talked to over the years, what do most people say is the worst offender for joint/muscle pain?...Dairy, Meats, Oils, Sugar, etc.
Thanks, Gwen

The one they are most reactive to. ;)

It differs with each individual.

If I was to say one that is more likely, I would say dairy.

BTW, in my article on the Elimination Diet, I mention the Big 8, which are the most common allergens and responsible for over 90% of reactions. Dairy is one of them. In Europe, their list is the Top 14.

Thanks Jeff.
I've been having hip pain for a couple years.I fell on my hip but didn't think anything of it. I don't know if it's developed into arthritis or muscular/tendinopathy/bursitis or what. So I'm now trying to figure out what makes it more painful, so I can eliminate it and feel better. I already don't do dairy because of lactose intolerance, so I'm cutting out oils and sugars to see if that helps.

Oh, also, what about caffeine or coffee's effects on pain?

Unfortunately, the only answer is through the process used in the elimination diet either on individual foods or on ones whole diet
